International Cooperation Relations

  The internationalizing objectives of SSMU are determined by the universitydevelopment concept and are aimed at strengthening positions in the international educational space.
  Foreign students amount increasing, developing joint projects with foreign universities and research centers, growing the proportion of scientific and pedagogical workers teaching in foreign educational institutions, rising joint educational programs with foreign universities including double diplomas issuance - are all among the main priorities of SSMI internationalization.
  Samarkand State Medical Universityis developing international relations, based on the principle of equal rights of all partners participating in international cooperation and academic exchange, and within the framework of more than 60 existing agreements on scientific and educational cooperation with government and international organizations, foreign universities and research centers. The development of partnerships with universities in Europe, Asia, North America and the CIS countries is aimed at the development of academic mobility and joint educational programs.
  The number of highly qualified foreign specialists and professors, students, teachers and medical workers annually visits SSMI in order to establish partnerships, studying, advanced training, as well as participation in scientific events constantly growing.
  SSMI seeks the development of cooperation with the scientific and academic communities representatives, universities, and public organizations all around the world. The doors of the universityare always open to foreign applicants, students, interns and teachers.

  • General medicine - duration of study is 6 years (3 + 3).
  • Dentistry - duration of study 5 years (3 + 2).
  • Pediatric - duration of study is 6 years (3 + 3).
  • In cooperation with the Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. V.I. Razumovsky of the Russian Federation:

  • Pharmacy - duration of study 5 years (3 + 2).
  • In cooperation with the Chuvash State University named after I. N. Ulyanov of the Russian Federation:

  • Psychology (clinical psychology) - duration of training 5 years 6 months (3 + 2.5).
  • In cooperation with the Ternopil National Medical University named after Y.B. Gorbachevsky of the Republic of Ukraine:

  • Higher nursing - duration of study 3 years (2 + 1).
  • In cooperation with the Graduate School of Business National Louis University of the Republic of Poland:

  • Management: Healthcare management - duration of study 4 years (3 + 1).

    We have recruited 225 students for the 2021-2022 academic year to this admissions office.


    Since this year, the Samarkand State Medical Universityhas begun admission to joint educational programs with the Volga Research Medical University of the Russian Federation in the following areas of clinical residency for the 2021/2022 academic year, duration of study is 2 years (1 + 1):
