Celebration of the region's youth festival at SamSMU held at the highest level

  Samarkand State Medical University hosted festive events of Youth Festival of the region held under the slogan "Unite, Youth of New Uzbekistan" at the highest level.

  Samarkand State Medical University, as part of the Youth Festival, held an intellectual game tournament "Zakovat" among higher educational institutions of the region. A total of 10 teams of higher education institutions, including team "Translator" of SamSIFL, "Veterinary" SamVMI, "Galaktikus" SamIES, "Al-Khwarizmi" Samarkand branch of TUIT, "Digital" Samarkand branch of TSEU, "Ibn Sina", "Sigma" Samarkand branch of TAU, "Tafakkur" SamSU, "Bunyodkor" SamSIA took part in 2 rounds of competition.

  According to the results of the final stage of the tournament held in new building of SamSMU, SamIES's "Galaktikus" team took the 1st place and "Tafakkur" team of SamSU won the 2nd place, while "Ibn Sina" team of SamSMU got the 3rd place.

  During festival students of SamSMU actively participated in sports competitions among students of universities of the region in various sports, and managed to take the 2nd place in basketball and volleyball, the 4th place in handball, and the 1st place in mini football.

  On June 23, a gala evening was held in the new building of the University, with the whole staff and students taking part. The khokim of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov, who attended the party, solemnly awarded all the winners and representatives of the university graduates.

  Members of the Central Military Region conducted an exhibition of weapons, and there were colourful displays of military training, chess, checkers, table tennis, hand-to-hand combat and other games.

  During the event, the Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to a number of students who had distinguished themselves through active social activities, excellent academic achievements and exemplary activities.

  All guests and participants were pleased with a national costume competition and musical performances of foreign students of the Faculty of International Education.

  The event was followed by a grand gala concert of well-known performers and dance groups, including those from Tashkent.

  On June 24, in the framework of the Samarkand region's festival "Unite, Youth of New Uzbekistan", the Samarkand State Medical University hosted a "Subject Olympiad of Khokim of the region on Chemistry" and "Russian Language and Literature" among the students of 10th and 11th grades of general education schools.

  The participants were solemnly welcomed at Samarkand State Medical University Hospital No. 1. The Olympiad was held in well-equipped auditoriums in compliance with quarantine requirements. The contestants were 94 high-school graduates of Samarkand region on chemistry and 100 high-school graduates on Russian language. According to the Olympiad rules, 120 minutes were allocated to 40 test tasks.

  According to the results of the contest, the 1st place winner among 10th year pupils of school № 45 of Taylak region Ulashboev Dilshod, the 2nd place winner was a pupil of secondary school № 30 of Samarkand region Suhrobov Sohibjon and the 3rd place winner was a pupil of secondary school № 14 of Pastdargom region Abdusamatov Ogabek. The first place among 11 year pupils was won by Guluz Ismailova, a pupil of school #40 of Jambai district, second place - by Bobur Kulmatov, pupil of secondary school #12 of Pakhtachy district, and the third place was given to Boliboev Zavkiddin pupil of secondary school #10 of Nurabad district.

  In the subject "Russian language and literature" among 10th year pupils, the 1st place was won by Sadikova Amina, a pupil of secondary school #33 of Samarkand city, the 2nd place was awarded to Isayeva Elmina, a pupil of secondary school # 45 of Samarkand, and 3rd place to Narimova Jasmin, a student of secondary school #3 of Kattakurgan city. Among pupils of 11th year the 1st place was taken by Gulnaz Kayayeva, a pupil of school #51 of Samarkand, 2nd place was taken by Soleeva Saodat, a pupil of school #9 of Samarkand, and Ibodov Timur, a pupil of school #35 of Ishtikhan district won the 3rd place.

  Nargiza Yarmukhammedova, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of Samarkand State Medical University, congratulated the winners and presented respective diplomas.

  At the end of the competition, a festive table was laid out for all participants and their mentors.
