On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl, the Women's Council of the Samarkand State Medical Institute held a meeting on "The Role of Women in the Development of Science" on October 11. It was attended by young scientists, researchers and students of the institute.

  Thus, Women's Council activists, Associate Professors F.I. Zakirova, L.T. Rozikova, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, PhD A.N. Makhmudova shared their life experience, noted the need to discover new opportunities for learning and research, as well as the importance of hard work to achieve their goals. Dilafruz Kholmuradova, who successfully defended her PhD thesis in 2018 at the age of 36 and DSc - in 2021 at the age of 39, and Zarina Nasirova, who defended her PhD thesis at the age of 29 in 2021 a year ahead of schedule, were cited as illustrative examples for our students.

  It should be noted that the participants of the meeting received answers to all the questions posed.
