Educational and methodical work of the department
Since September 2025-2026, the educational process began in a new, modernly equipped building of the Institute of Parasitology named after L.M. Isaev of SamDTU. From this academic year, training will be carried out on a 5-day system.
Students of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of the faculties of General Medicine, Management and Administration, and Pediatrics, as well as 2nd-year students of OHI, 5th-year students of the Faculty of International Education, and 6th-year students of the Joint Faculty of General Medicine are taught at the Department of Epidemiology.
The department organizes the training of highly qualified specialists in the direction of master's degree and clinical residency.

The following technical teaching aids are used in the educational process.
A telecommunications system has been created, through which thematic videos, presentations, multimedia programs, lectures and practical classes are broadcast to TVs connected to a central computer. There is a single bank of scanned images intended for integrated learning, compiled in accordance with the curriculum and corresponding to all sections of the curriculum.

- The library has more than 50 titles of educational literature in English, Uzbek and Russian.
- The electronic library includes textbooks, teaching aids, methodological manuals, lecture notes, etc.

Procedure for assessing the educational process Students.
Assessment is one of the stages of completion of the educational process of students, showing the level of mastery of the educational process by the student. The assessment process is determined by: the results of an oral survey, testing, written work, practical skills.
The assessment is given according to a modular system, based on the sum of current assessments for the educational process and the results of the final control over the module, based on the traditional 5-point system.
The implementation of the FC is carried out and assessed using the MSL tests on the university's automated workstation computers according to a schedule drawn up by the faculty dean's office, with the participation of deputy deans.
