Аннотация

Anemia is one of the most common and clinically significant complications of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in children. It develops early in the disease process and significantly affects the quality of life of patients, impacting physical and cognitive development. Traditional oral iron supplements often have low tolerability and cause side ef fects from the gastrointestinal tract. Sideral, a sucrosomal iron-based preparation, represents a modern alternative for correcting iron deficiency in children with CKD. The aim of this review is to summarize the literature on the role, ef fectiveness, and tolerability of sucrosomal iron in pediatric patients, with a particular focus on children with chronic kidney pathology.
