Аннотация

Aim: to compare serum concentrations of complement component C3 (C3c), lactoferrin and procalcitonin as fac-tors of non-specific resistance in healthy pregnant and lactating women and in those with pathological condi-tions permanently residing in rural areas, and to develop diagnostic and prognostic criteria. Materials and methods: blood serum of 145 women aged 19–49 years permanently residing in rural districts of the Bukhara region in the third trimester of pregnancy and during lactation was examined using immunological (ELISA), haematological and statistical methods. Results: in pregnant women with somatic pathology (autoimmune thy-roiditis, anaemia of varying severity; n=72), compared with healthy pregnant women (n=20), C3c was 1.23-fold higher (1.75±0.08 vs 1.42±0.04 µg/mL; p<0.05) and procalcitonin 2.67-fold higher (0.16±0.03 vs 0.06±0.01 ng/mL; p<0.001), whereas lactoferrin was 1.31-fold lower (189.10±0.48 vs 247.15±0.88 µg/mL; p<0.05). Con-clusion: changes in C3c, lactoferrin and procalcitonin reflect immune system strain under the influence of so-matic pathology and increased antigenic stimulation due to bacterial translocation; these indicators are recom-mended as differential diagnostic and prognostic criteria for assessing the immune status of pregnant women.
