Abstract

Inguinal hernia is one of the most common surgical diseases. Approximately 20 million patients with inguinal hernias undergo surgery worldwide per year. There is currently no universal technique (method) for inguinal hernia repair, which is the reason for surgeons' dissatisfaction with the results of treatment. Statistical reports show that 13% of all hernia surgeries in the world are performed for recurrent inguinal hernia, regardless of the nature of the previous hernioplasty.

Key words

inguinal hernia, hernioplasty, relapse, Lichtenstein, autoplasty, TARR, TER, complications, chronic pain syndrome.
